Before her journey into law, Emily served as a fundraiser for a food bank/family resource center and other local nonprofits in Broomfield. This work deepened her connection to the pulse of the community. During law school, her time at Bike Law Colorado, standing beside injured cyclists, showed her the courage it takes to rise again, and the beauty of helping others do the same. With a background in finance and nonprofit management, she brings a blend of strategic precision and soulful advocacy to her legal practice.
A member of the William E. Doyle Inn of Court and the Financial Advisory Committee for Broomfield FISH, Emily is deeply woven into the fabric of the legal and civic world. Her true calling goes beyond the courtroom: to create spaces of justice, healing, and hope. Inspired by the legacies of Thurgood Marshall and Justice Sonia Sotomayor, she works to illuminate the systemic injustices that shadow marginalized communities. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, Emily embraces every opportunity to connect across languages, cultures, and hearts.
Outside her professional world, Emily loves to enjoy life! She enjoys gravel rides, good books, public speaking and playing piano. A devoted mother and aspiring philanthropist, she strives daily to balance purpose and play to weave joy, spirituality, and mischief into each day.
