High-Risk Corridors
US-6, Colorado Highway 58, and Washington Avenue
Golden's rideshare conflict points gather where the highways meet the foothills and where in-town traffic is thickest: US-6 (6th Avenue) as it climbs out of Clear Creek Canyon, Colorado Highway 58 (the Golden Freeway) running east to I-70 in Wheat Ridge, State Highway 93 north toward Boulder, Washington Avenue through downtown, and South Golden Road. This is foothills country, so canyon routes like Golden Gate Canyon Road and the climb up Lookout Mountain add steep grades, tight curves, winter ice, and snowpack that turn into real crash factors and shape how fault gets argued. Knowing these roads tells us which camera systems and traffic records may exist to show what actually happened.
