Trauma Care
AdventHealth Grand Junction
Grand Junction carries the trauma load for a huge portion of western Colorado and eastern Utah. St. Mary's, now operating as Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital, is a Level II trauma center with roughly 310 beds and is the largest hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City. For a seriously injured scooter rider that matters in a specific way: rather than being stabilized locally and shipped hours away, most patients receive definitive care right here, and the full medical record is generated in one institution. That makes the record easier to assemble and much harder for an insurer to pick apart. The most extreme cases can still be moved to a Level I center, usually by air given the distances involved, and that transport cost is itself recoverable.
