  2. The one-year dram shop deadline

    The Dram Shop Act carries its own short deadline. A dram shop claim generally must be filed within one year of the date the alcohol was sold or served (C.R.S. 44-3-801(3)(a)(II)), far shorter than the deadlines that apply to most injury cases.
