Dining and Nightlife Corridors
Federal Boulevard, 84th and 88th Avenues, and Pecos Street
Federal Heights is a compact enclave of under two square miles, and the city takes its name from Federal Boulevard (US-287), the busy commercial spine that carries most of its restaurants, bars, and quick-service spots. East-west traffic moves along 84th and 88th Avenues, Pecos Street runs the eastern edge toward I-25, and US-36 (the Boulder Turnpike) feeds commuters past the area, while Water World draws heavy seasonal crowds in summer. When an overserved patron leaves one of these venues and causes a crash, or a guest is hurt inside, knowing exactly where it happened tells us which camera systems, traffic records, and nearby witnesses may exist.
