Lauren Nelson

Lauren is a Pre-Litigation Paralegal with Cheney Galluzzi and Howard. She was born in Illinois, but her family moved her to Evergreen, Colorado, when she was two years old. At a relatively young age, she found her passion was advocating for others and helping them when they were in need. She has always felt fulfilled helping others navigate the most challenging times in their lives. She translated her love for helping others to volunteer work. She became involved in helping the homeless community in Denver and working as a victim advocate for victims/survivors of sexual assault. She fell in love with building connections with people from all different walks of life, so she decided to teach abroad in Thailand. Her experiences abroad and at home helped Lauren decide to take on International Affairs, Political Science, and Social Innovation at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she recently graduated in 2022.

After graduating college, Lauren set her sights on a career in the legal field because she believes the field gives her a unique ability to help others navigate a complex system. Lauren constantly strives to create beneficial change for those who are vulnerable. Due to her training as a victim advocate, Lauren understands the complexity of trauma and how hard it can be to deal with. She is an empathetic individual who prides herself on making others feel heard and uplifted in challenging times.

Outside work, Lauren loves skiing on the weekends in the Ikon mountains. She feels lucky that her parents put her on skis when she was four years old. She enjoys going to music festivals and shows, taking her husky mix named Luna on hikes, exploring new restaurants with friends, binge-reading books, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her idol–her grandma.
